TOPIC: Chest Infections TYPE: Global Case Reports INTRODUCTION: Aspergillus spp. are ubiquitous fungus in the environment, which easily identified soil, water, and various types of decomposing organic matter. Pulmonary involvement aspergillosis is usually seen as a ball that colonizes grows into pre-existing lung cavity, other forms pulmonary allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, chronic necrotizing invasive aspergillosis. We report case endobronchial aspergilloma presenting malignat mass. CASE PRESENTATION: A 40 years old male patient came with complaints 4 weeks history on off cough, 2 blood stained sputum. He gave left-sided chest pain for past weeks. had no fever, breathlessness, loss appetite, weight. comorbidities past. underwent Computed tomography hemoptysis, showed bronchocentric mass surrounding left main bronchus narrowing obstructive emphysema. Histopathological evaluation fungal structures suggestive were after staining PAS Grocott. started voriconazole. DISCUSSION: Endobronchial (EBA) rare disease, described massive non-invasive overgrowth aspergillus species bronchial lumen, causing space-occupying lesions (1,2). It often incidentally diagnosed during bronchoscopy to evaluate cause hemoptysis may be considered another form by histopathologic examination endoscopic biopsies should differential diagnosis an necrotic lesion,(3) some cases mimicking cancer. In cases, superimposed can mask cancer or carcinoid it hard differentiate true EBA colonization underlying An occur immunocompetent patients, without because optimal treatment duration therapy has not yet been established, requires regular monitoring.
